How to Create a Hyperlink to a Document

If you don't want a list of documents you've uploaded to a page to show up at the bottom of the page, you can create hyperlinks to the documents and embed those hyperlinks in your main body copy, or in a sidebar. 

Step 1: From the editing screen of a page, open the documents menu from the left sidebar. Remember to save any changes you've made before navigating away from the editing window. 

Step 2: Open the document you'd like to link to in a new tab. You can right-click and select "open in a new tab," or command and click on a Mac or control and click on a PC. 

Step 3: Right click on the file-name, and select "copy link address" in Chrome or "Copy Link" in Safari. This is the link to the document, which you should keep pasted on your clipboard. You can add this link as a hyperlink to the body of main page, or to a sidebar. 

Step 4: You can close the tab with the document in it. After you have placed all the hyperlinks on a page, navigate back to the document upload window and turn off the documents to which you've linked.
